Ark Yue’s journey with film photography began in 2003, when he shot his very first roll during his first solo trip. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for analog photography, leading him to study traditional photographic techniques at the Beijing Film Academy. In just the first three years of university, he shot nearly 500 rolls of negative film and over 40 rolls of slide film.
In 2020, Ark built a home setup to hand-process both C-41 negatives and E-6 slide film, further deepening his expertise in darkroom work. For the past three years, he has been part of Photoco Camera House, where he continues to shoot extensively—over 200 rolls to date—and share his love for film photography. Through his workshops, Ark hopes to inspire more people to embrace the unique beauty of film and help keep this timeless medium alive.
