Ewen Bell and Shellie Froidevaux are Melbourne based photographers who also offer mentoring and professional development workshops. They pioneered a 4-day instensive food photography workshop for owners of restaurants, cookbook writers, bloggers and other professional photographers who want to add food photography to their core skills. For this workshop they will share a 90 minute introduction to the art of food photography and demonstrate the basics that lead to success.
Shellie currently shoots for luxury hotels such as Langham Melbourne, Cairns Novotel and Sofitel on Collins in Melbourne. She is a food stylists, recipe developer and photographer, covering every aspect of capturing great images for food and lifestyle. Shellie will guide us in the basics of styling for composition and creativity.
Ewen is an editorial photographer who shoots on contract for magazines such as Food & Travel in the UK and National Geographic in the USA. He has been designing custom photographic tours since 2005 with an emphasis on wildlife, culture and food. In his words, “The difference between a good trip and a great trip is the food”.
